Approval of your course assignments

Dear participants in the Action Research Course,

The doctoral school should now be ready to issue diplomas/certificates of your successful participation in the PhD course. That is, if you have submitted your course assignment and if you have submitted your course evaluation. Most of you have submitted your action research protocol and I have approved these. You have probably received a message on this from within the moodle.

The course effort was 2 ECTS. Some of you asked for an extension to 3 ECTS if your worked more on the course. The doctoral school has now approved such an arrangement. That means, if you want to acquire an extra 1 ECTS you should be prepared to develop a complete action research protocol. You can register for this by sending me an email. I will then within 1-2 weeks send you feedback on the protocol that you have already submitted; and you will return a complete protocol after 4-6 weeks for approval. This will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis for a limited number.

A small home assignment before we start

You are probably now very busy with reading the material before we meet on Tuesday and I shall not burden you further with anything but a very small home assignment.

Please go to the Assignment section and look at the "Home assignment before start". The assignment is to describe your PhD project and why you find action research relevant - in 250 words or less. The audience of the text should be other PhD students on the course.

The purpose of this small assignment is to get us started on Tuesday morning. There is therefore no point in you contemplating for long. What we need is simply a brief text that may well be improved during the course.
